The Lodhies with Amb. Patterson and Congresswoman Jane Harman (D-CA)
Torrance, CA: On March 5, the US Ambassador to Pakistan, Anne Patterson,
and Congresswoman Jane Harman from California’s 36th district attended
a group discussion with about 20 of Southern California’s most prominent
Pakistani-American community leaders.
The gathering was organized by
Pervaiz Lodhie, President and Founder
of LEDtronics, Inc., and Shoaib Kothawala,
President and CEO of International
Textile & Apparel, Inc.
Lodhie, who moderated the discussion,
hosted the meeting at his business
in Torrance, California. After a brief
opening statement, the group of Pakistani-
Americans went on to discuss bilateral
trade, education, and US-Pakistan relations
with Ambassador Patterson and Congresswoman
Harman.
Also in attendance were Congresswoman Harman’s Chief of Staff, John Hess, and Ex-Congressman Jim Moody, along with Salim Adaya, Danish Gajiani, Sattar Abbasi, Aiesha Ghauri, Aitezzaz (Bob) Din, Adnan Khan, Fiza Shah, Shezad Rokerya, Tariq Chaudhary, Arif Mansuri, Ghazala Khan, Salman Naqvi, Yousuf Shaikh, Hasan Shirazi, Salim Iqbal, and Asim Ashray. |
