Hosts Pakistani American Leaders at a Los Angeles Retreat

WASHINGTON:
Leaders of several Pakistani American organizations recently
met at a retreat in Los Angeles. The retreat was hosted by
the Pakistani American Liaison Center (PALC) was held at
Mr. Bob Din's house in Palos Verdes Estate near Los Angeles.
The retreat was attended by Dr. Raza Bokhari, President-elect PakPac; Hamid
Malik, President the Council of Pakistani American Affairs (COPAA); Faiza
Haq, General Secretary Pakistani American Congress (PAC); Mrs. Fiza Shah
of Development in Literacy (DIL); Faiz Rehman, PALC Executive Director
and President of the National Council of Pakistani Americans (NCPA); and
PALC Board members Dr. Mansoor Shah, Dr. Rafiq Rahman, Mossadaq Chughtai,
Mrs. Mariam Issa, and Dr. Farhat Zubair.
Ambassador of Pakistan Jehangir Karamat and Mrs Karamat, Deputy Chief of
Mission Mohammad Sadiq, and Consul General Noormhammad Jadmani also attended
the retreat.
Pakistani American Liaison Center (PALC) is Washington-based organization
dedicated to educating American public on issues related to Pakistan and
Pakistani Americans. It recently helped found the Congressional Pakistan
Caucus. The bi-partisan Pakistan Caucus currently has 62 members. |
