- The
Asian Development bank has approved a project preparatory
technical assistance grant for $ 120,000 to the Government
of Pakistan.
- President
said that Pakistan looks forward to increased economic
trade and technological cooperation with Iran in a
mutually beneficial manner.
- Pakistan
has a high cost business environment, which depresses
investment, employment and production.
- Pakistan's
economic revival programme is beginning to produce
good results, while it needs to follow its course to
reach its long standing goals.
- Iranian
Chamber of Commerce has proposed to establish joint
chamber and joint venture companies in association
with Pakistani businessmen.
- The
Minister for IT and Telecommunication announced that
telecommunication sector stands deregulated from January
1, 2003.
- The
joint forum of Sarhad Chamber of Commerce & Industries
and Kabul Chamber of Commerce will hold an exhibition
of Pakistani manufactured goods in Kabul, in April
to promote trade relations between the two countries.
- Pakistan
has been invited to participate in the 46th edition
of the Maltese international trade fair, to be held
at Naxxar Trade Fairs and Exhibition Centre there,
from July 2 to 13, 2003.
- The
Government will try its best to resolve the problems
of the industrial labour, said Minister for Industries
and Production.
- The
President, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce
and Industry has thanked the Secretary, Ministry of
Industries and Production, for accepting the FPCCI
demand to withdraw Saturday as weekly holiday at Karachi
Export Processing Zone.
